CPCH is currently under contract to purchase 4.6 acres for the Living Wisdom Village, Elders creating Community - a senior affordable housing project, and is fundraising to pay for the land. All donations up to $10,000 will be tripled by a private donor! A Colorado Enterprise Tax credit is available to those who make a donation of $100 or more to this project.
Peak Community Housing (CPCH) 501(c)3 has received Enterprise Zone status for its senior housing project – Living Wisdom Village (LWV). The Enterprise Zone Tax Credit was established to support economic development projects throughout Colorado, and greatly enhances the ability of these projects to reach fruition.
Donors providing $100 or more to the project are eligible to receive a certificate for a 25% Colorado Income Tax Credit. As an example of how this donation benefits not only the project but also gives back to the donor, consider the following: a donor gives $10,000, which is tax-deductible as a donation to a non-profit organization. If that donor pays income tax at the rate of 28%, federal taxes are reduced by $2,800. The donor then has a lower taxable income for state income tax and saves an additional 4.63% or $463. Then the donor applies the EZ certificate for an additional tax credit of 25% or $2,500 on their state income tax filing. Imagine donating $10,000 and realizing a savings of $5,763 on your taxes for your charitable gift!
