The project is now in the design phase! This work includes schematic design, design development, construction documents, civil engineering, soil testing, and traffic analysis, all of which will be completed in Spring 2021. The CPCH Board issued a request for proposals in October and selected Studio Completiva in mid-November as its architect to design LWV. Studio Completiva has many years of dedication and advocacy for providing quality housing and creating responsible, sustainable communities. The move into design has been made possible by grants from NextFifty Initiative, Aventa Foundation, and Colorado Housing and Finance Authority, whose support we are very grateful for.

The land purchase was completed in April 2020; CPCH now owns 4.6 acres in the Town of Crestone, where Living Wisdom Village will be developed. This was an awesome accomplishment, as all funds were received from private donations! Read the Crestone Eagle article here.

With the movement into design, grant funds can finally be requested to support the project. CPCH received a grant award of $55,000 from Next Fifty Initiative in October and an award of $35,000 from Aventa Foundation in November. We anticipate a $35,000 grant from Colorado Housing Financing Authority in December. These grants will fully cover the design phase expense, and we are grateful to these Living Wisdom Village champions!
